The EU health commissioner has criticized German handling of a deadly E.coli outbreak, reports Forbes.
Speaking during an emergency meeting of agriculture ministers on Tuesday, John Dalli said that the governments should avoid making "premature conclusions."
The meeting was called following the death of over 20 people from the strain of E.coli.
A race to find the source of the outbreak first saw cucumbers from Spain blamed and then sprouts from a farm near Hamburg suspected. Both sources have now been discredited.
The outbreak has put considerable strain on the EU's agricultural industries and member relations.
One Spanish delegate stood holding a cucumber before announcing "We need to restore the honor of the cucumber," according to Sky News.
