In the race to devalue currency globally, Japan adopted the same US-style on rates and went to a short-term rate of 0.0% to 0.1% from 0.1%. The hopes of a global quantitative easing drove shares higher and manufacturing data added support.Here were today's unofficial closing bell levels:
