Records are made to be broken. Colorado has enjoyed the national limelight since the end of April when the Boot Jack Ranch was sold for more than $46.5 million.
Now the Bel-Air residence of designer-developer Mohamed Hadid has sold for more. How much more isn't being disclosed, but he would allow that it went for between $50 million and the asking price of $72 million. It could be a month or more before the dollar amount is available through public records.
For the money, the limited liability corporation that bought the 48,000-square-foot French-inspired chateau on 2.2 acres gets a grand ballroom and a 5,000-bottle wine cellar, among other amenities.
