It doesn't take long for the inflation hawks -- those who would like to see the U.S. Federal Reserve increase short-term interest rates -- to start to chirp. And lately, for some unknown reason, they seem to be chirping louder.Meanwhile, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke certainly did not provide any fodder for the hawks in his speech Wednesday at the Dallas Regional Chamber.
"The economy has stabilized and is growing again, although we can hardly be satisfied when one out of every 10 U.S. workers is unemployed and family finances remain under great stress," Bernanke said in prepared remarks.
