Anadarko: Stopped-Out for Small Gain

They don't all work out. Independent oil/natural gas play Anadarko Petroleum (APC), first discussed here on May 14, 2009 at a price of $43.55, formed a bear hug this spring, which justified a stand-aside view at that time, and was stopped-out at $44 on the way down, netting an inconsequential gain.



Anadarko then walked down to about $34.50 before reversing, and the stock has basically doubled since, trading near $70 Tuesday.
