The director of the White House's Office of Management and Budget says the skyrocketing deficit can actually be helpful during an economic crisis. But, Peter Orszag says, it can put a drag on early stages of recovery. As for whether the House version of health care legislation fundamentally alters the deficit, Orzag says it's "the best we can do" now.
